Unusual Iris

This iris is not the normal color.  Looks like mahogany or perhaps chocolate.

Cruising 4

Seascape

Today’s photo is dramatic. This was taken around mid day but since I was facing the sun, this photo looks like it was taken at twilight.

Cruising 2–Looking at a Trademark from a different angle.

Carnival Trademark

Today’s cruising photo shows a familiar trademark–Carnival’s stack but from a different angle. On the Carnival Legend, the stack is glass and from the top deck you can look down on the interier specialty restaurant.

Cruising

Recently got back from a cruise on the Carnival Legend.  Wonderful sailing companions, wonderful weather, wonderful food, WONDERFUL.  Will feature a few of my photos of this experience.  My photo style is not to take just the typical tourist photos, but to look to capture the spirit, the mood, the playfulness of an experience.  Today’s photo is romantic.

Green Mtn PhotoShows is BACK!

Springtime in Proctor

After a long hiatus, Green Mtn PhotoShows is back to blogging. We will feature favorite photos, slideshow ideas, photo craft projects. Coming soon to the Proctor Vermont website–Seasons of Proctor. A series of 4 photoshows each featuring scenic Proctor Vermont. GMPS has donated these shows to the town.

Rehearsal Dinner Idea

Green Mountain PhotoShows has a great solution to the “break the ice” situation. Since a rehearsal dinner is a time when both families (and extended families & friends) are mingling, show a photo slideshow! Recruit both families to supply favorite photos of the bride, groom, family times, goofy times, school events, important family members who have passed on–tell the COUPLE’s story! This is a great way to spark conversations and laughter. Have some hankies available cause tender memories trigger a few happy tears too! Our clients have found this is a great way to relax their guests especially when “multiple” families are involved.

Green Mountain PhotoShows can design a special one-of-a-kind slideshow at an affordable price–packages starting at $75. We’ll add movement and music to your slideshow. Perfect as a thank you gift to your parents or parents can surprise the bride and groom with a slideshow. Interested? Check us out on BridalTweet and on the web www.greenmtnphotoshows.com.

Killington VT Bridal Show 9/27/09

Please stop by our booth at the Killington VT Bridal Show.  This year’s show is being held at the Mountain Meadows Lodge 9/27/09.  The show starts at 11:30.

This week I’ve been busy preparing for the show.  Meant to post an entry before this, but time just seemed to fly.  This is the third Killington Bridal Show for Green Mountain PhotoShows.  Each year we have a booth at the Killington, Middlebury & Rutland shows.  Each location attracts its own special attendees.  Killington is a mixture of destination brides and local brides.  Middlebury is smaller, more intimate and caters to brides from Middlebury area.  The Rutland show is the largest of the three and draws brides & grooms from central to southern Vermont and nearby New York.

Bridal shows are great for getting ideas, deals and taste of wedding cakes.  AND door prizes!!!  Each vendor supplies a door prize of at least $75 in value.  These prizes are given out at the end of the day with the last prize being a very SPECIAL one.

The brides (and quite often grooms) must stop at each booth and get the vendor to mark their program.  To be eligible for the door prizes each bride HAS to visit each booth.  That insures each vendor has a chance to demostrate their particular service, product, destination, etc.

My service is crafting custom photo slideshows to music.  It could be played at the rehearsal dinner or the reception.  Think of it–the story of the two of you growing up, meeting & falling in love.  It is a perfect way to bring together family & friends.  Give them as thank you gifts for parents & friends.  Brides (and mom’s) are definitely looking for ways to keep expenses down while keeping the wedding unique. Our PhotoShow packages are affordable.  You can also add a PhotoShow Montage (an 8×10 mosaic of all the photos from the slideshow creating a photo from the wedding).

So–hope to see you there!

Another PhotoShow is being created

Just started a new PhotoShow.  Thanks Marie & Ashley for coming back for another PhotoShow.  A repeat customer!  This time I’m doing a PhotoShow for Marie’s daughter & soon-to-be son-in-law.  PhotoShows are a great way to tell the “couple’s life story.  Brings both sets of families together and is guaranteed to get everyone talking, laughing and maybe crying at the reception or rehearsal dinner.

Congrats Candace & Michael.
